The Ballydehob Jazz Festival is back this May bank holiday weekend!

THE Ballydehob Jazz Festival returns to the streets on the May bank holiday weekend.

The village will host a free live music track with over 30 performances by Irish and international artists including Fixity, Donald Dineen, Goodnight Circus, Paul Dunlea, Cormac McCarthy, Runaway Retros, the Jabin Ward Trio, Eve Clague & the Valentines and more Again.

Highlight concerts at the Jazz Hall include a first Ballydehob by Karen Underwood. Saturday’s headliner hails from Brooklyn, New York and is jazz band Tatiana Eva-Marie & The Avalon. Moonshine Shindig is BJF’s signature late-night jazz club. This year’s shindig returns on Saturday and Sunday nights with old school blues delivered with the groovy modern twist of the Canibal Dandies followed by jazz and dance DJs until late.

The Jazz Parade returns inspired by New Orleans-style street funerals and brings the community together with visiting performers for a colorful display of joy and pageantry.

This year launches the first Ballydehob Jazz Poetry Slam, in partnership with the Working Artist Studio, with some of Ireland‘s finest young spoken word poets and artists including David Jackson, Katie Mathúna, Julie Goo, Pól O Cólmáin and many more.

BJF Micro Mural Exhibition is a brand new series of small murals under the theme “The Rising Tide”. Each piece of art will be created in modest areas of the village to be sought out by the public. This is coordinated by muralist Shane O’Driscoll of Ardú Street Art Project.

There are also food and craft stalls and pop-up circus performances.

There are plenty of free events and early bird festival tickets for €50. All information and reservations on
