Namibia: Jazz Weekend for Tsumeb
As the country slowly opens up, Tsumeb will be treated to a night of good jazz sounds tomorrow.
The very first festival will be held at Lilly’s Pub in the heart of Copper Town. Tickets cost N $ 150 in advance, while a fee of N $ 250 is payable at the door.
The event will be hosted by Salt and Light Namibia, with performances by Nasim, Arthur, Water and Suzy Eises, among others.
“The festival will not leave the guests hungry, as there will be an opportunity to sample the cuisines of Salt and Light. As the spring season begins, our approach to this event is to add color to our beautiful city by bringing one of the world’s most respected and celebrated musical genres to Tsumeb We have curated a selection of local talent that music lovers will appreciate, ”said Alina Garises, Founder and CEO of Salt and Light Namibia.
Garises further stressed the importance of adhering to all health and safety protocols, such as technological solutions, safe handling of food and drink, social distancing and wearing masks during the event.

When it comes to food, Garises said they will provide prepackaged meals with minimal contact, using serving materials that attendees can grab and take away.
Salt and Light Namibia is a fledgling company, having started operations in March of this year.
