The jazz night will see Out of the Blue Jazz Orchestra perform live, with the voice of Joan Fearon.

The evening also includes the premiere of the group’s new song, Get Groovin ‘, which will soon be recorded thanks to a Jazz North grant.

On what to expect, organizers said: “Come join us in our beautiful gardens for a wonderful evening of jazz from Count Basie to Duke Ellington, The Beatles to Jo Zawinul.”

Taking place on the grounds surrounding the Palm House, organizers advised bringing a blanket or chair so the evening can be fully enjoyed.

The Palm House Cafe will be open serving drinks and goodies, including Cheshire Farm ice cream.

The doors of the Palm House will open at 6 p.m. and live music will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Jazz on the Lawn will take place on Friday August 6th and is a free event, but donations are greatly appreciated.
