A night of jazz with the Carole Nelson trio at Tinahely


THE Carole Nelson Trio will perform one night at the Courthouse Arts Center on Friday September 10th.

arole nelson is a longtime jazz musician and composer. His career in many musical genres has won him international awards and many critical reviews. In 2015, she turned to composition and released the Carole Nelson Trio’s debut album “One Day in Winter” in 2017.

The trio’s second album, ‘Arboreal’ was released in early 2020. The trio includes Carole Nelson on piano, Cormac O’Brien on bass and Dominic Mullan on drums. The trio are currently recording their third album, still untitled.

More recently, Carole was one of 20 Irish composers invited by Music Network to compose and record a song during confinement.

Meanwhile, classical music lovers will be able to enjoy a performance by the Esposito Quartet on Thursday, September 9 in the Tinahely Hall. The quartet features some of Ireland‘s most distinguished musicians and the group’s nationwide tour is part of the National String Quartet Foundation’s Beethoven 250 celebrations. The program includes works by Mozart, Korngold and Ian Wilson.
